Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is reportedly developing an app to support Pebble, a move that could make Windows Phones more attractive to users. Pebble does not natively support Windows Phone, even the latest Pebble smartwatch, known as Pebble Time The Pebble Time smartwatch has already smashed a few Kickstarter records this week, showing there’s plenty of demand for the company’s first watch with a color display. Part of the appeal of Pebble’s watches is that they have always-on displays and Pebble’s approach to smart watches is unique. While competitors such as Samsung and LG have built powerful wrist computers that have many of the features you’d find in a smart phone, Pebble’s first smart watch had a black-and-white display and couldn Pebble started its venture into wearables nearly three years ago. Sadly, Windows Phone users have been left in the dark without official support from Microsoft or Pebble.As Pebble debuted its latest 'Pebble Time' this week, Windows Phone support was again Pebble spiced up its Pebble Time Kickstarter project this morning watch strap that could track your heart rate or a run through GPS without the help of your phone. Pebble does not currently support Windows Phone or Windows 10 for phones natively. Instead, the Pebble, and even the new Pebble Time announced yesterday, were only built to support iOS and Android. That may soon change, however, with the help of internal Pebble Time adds some exciting new features to the affordable smartwatch: A colour screen, a new timeline interface and even a microphone for interacting with your phone through voice. Perhaps most exciting is the less glamorous announcement: That both Smartwatch maker Pebble might be looking into creating a companion app for Windows Phone, allowing Microsoft mobile users to finally use a Pebble smartwatch.
