Pebble’s original Kickstarter campaign is the stuff of legend. As the original smartwatch Pebble garnered a lot of attention, and as such garnered a lot of financial backers for the project. A few years and a generation later Pebble has decided that The Pebble Time smartwatch, the new iteration of the original pebble smartwatch, has raised about $13.9 million on Kickstarter since it started on Feb. 24. The company also released a newer version of that watch Tuesday, called Pebble Time Steel Time Steel is to the original Time what Pebble Steel was to the original pebble — much the same, just shinier.
